Remarks. The numerous (24–34), highly visible longitudinal muscle bands and longitudinal coelomic canals in the body wall allow for easy recognition of this genus. The morphologically similar S . robustus Keferstein, 1865 lack the partially attached nephridia of S . nudus . Distribution. Considered cosmopolitan in temperate to tropical regions, usually in intertidal or shallow depths. A single specimen of this species was reported from sandy sediments at Spaansche Water, Curaçao , by ten Broeke (1925)
