CHINA : Henan Province: 1 ɗ, Baotianman, Neixiang, 1200 m , 27.v.2006 (Jinmei Lv & Xu Zhang). Distribution . China (Anhui, Beijing, Heilongjiang, Henan, Jilin, Shaanxi, Shandong), Europe, Japan , Korea , Russia . Hostplants . Thymus sp., Plantago sp., Solidago sp., Achillea sp. ( Kawabe, 1982 ). Diagnosis . Wing expanse 11.5 mm. Eupoecilia angustana is similar to E. citrinana in the male genitalia, but it can be distinguished from the latter by the faint median fascia and the termen with triangular dark blotch on the forewing ( Fig. 1 c); and the male genitalia with the valva subtriangular and the median process of the transtilla prominent at the apex ( Fig. 2 c). In E. citrinana the forewing has a distinct median fascia and the termen has a parallelogram-shaped dark blotch ( Fig. 1 d); and in the male genitalia the valva is oblong and the median process of the transtilla is concave at the apex ( Fig. 3 a). Remarks . This species can be recognized easily by the illustration of the female genitalia provided by Razowski (1970a) .
