The species has been reported from Bolivia , Brazil , Colombia , Ecuador , French Guiana and Peru ( Metcalf 1963c ; Duffels and van der Laan 1985 ). Salazar Escobar (2005) identifies specimens collected in Choco, San José del Palmar but no other specific locations in Colombia have been published. Material examined.
