The IRCW has a female from Caucasia, California. The species was incorrectly synonymized to Z. calochroma ( Metcalf 1963a ) but was elevated again to a valid species ( Duffels and van der Laan 1985 ) and is a valid taxon ( Sanborn 2007b ). The species has been recorded previously from Mexico , Guatemala , Costa Rica and Panama ( Metcalf 1963a ; Duffels and van der Laan 1985 ; Sanborn 2006a ,b, 2007b ).
