Distribution.
The species was previously reported to occur in West African waters, only off the
Ivory Coast
(
type
locality) and
Guinea
–Bissau, at depths of 900 and
398 m
, respectively (Macpherson 1988a). This record extends the species geographic and bathymetrical distribution to the north (
Mauritania
) and to deeper waters, between
1215 and
1310
m.
