Epandrium, surstylus and cercal plate, posterior view; 50. Aedeagus, lateral view. Female terminalia: 51. Dorsal view; 52. Ventral view. (Scale 0.5 mm) Thorax : acrostichal 1:1; dorsocentral 2:4; intra-alars 2; proepisternum and proepimeron with one setae; fore tibia with a distinct submedian anterodorsal seta; apex of fore tibia with setae on dorsal, posterodorsal, posteroventral and ventral surfaces; mid femur with a row of setae on posterior, posteroventral and anteroventral surfaces from base to middle, reappearing near the apex; mid femur with three preapical setae, on dorsal, posterodorsal and posterior surfaces; apex of mid tibia with setae on anterior, anterodorsal, dorsal, posterodorsal, posterior, posteroventral, ventral and anteroventral surfaces; hind femur with a complete row of dorsal and anteroventral setae, and a row of posteroventral setae from base to middle, reappearing near apex; hind tibia with one submedian anterodorsal setae and two submedian anteroventral setae; hind tibia with anterior, anterodorsal, dorsal, posterodorsal, ventral and anteroventral setae at apex; wing with one dorsal and two ventral setae at apex of stem vein. Abdomen : fifth sternite with a near rectangular shape; apex of fifth sternite with reduced concavity; cercus, in profile, tapered. Female (differing as follows): Length. Body: 5.7 mm ; wing: 6.3 mm ; eyes separated from each other by 0.3 mm , at level of ocellar tubercle; 12 pairs of frontal convergent setae, except for top two pairs, which are divergent; ocellar seta large and postocellar seta small, both divergent; inner vertical seta large and convergent, and outer vertical seta small and divergent; acrostichal 0:1; proepisternum and proepimeron with two setae; hind tibia with four submedian anteroventral setae; sternite VIII with strong spike-like setae; epiproct with six setae, setae in a hexagon-shaped arrangement (2:2:2). Comments : N. maculata sp. nov. is similar to N. zosteris , differing externally only by the three pre-apical setae of mid femur and a distinct brown mark on the postalar callus. The males have a fifth sternite with a subrectangular shape and the apex with reduced concavity. Females have sternite VIII with strong spike-like setae and epiproct with six setae. Etymology : it refers to the distinct dark brown mark in the lateral region of postalar callus.
