Chorology.
Described from Aulie Ata (Taraz) in southern Kazakhstan, the Central Asian
Stenus bernhauerianus
was also recorded from Kyrgyzstan and the Koppeh-Dagh (Fig.
24
) in the northeast of Iran (
Puthz 2010
: 60).
Biogeographical characterization.
Due to its distribution pattern, this rare species can be regarded as a Turkestanian faunal element.
