DIAGNOSIS: These taxa are united, to the exclusion of
Eosaniwa koehni
, by 6(1) posteriorly elongated nares, 8(0) absence of dermal sculpturing on the maxilla, 9(0) absence of dermal sculpturing on the prefrontal, 10(0) absence of dermal sculpturing from the frontal and parietal, 47(1) jugal curved (rather than angulated), 55(1) fused frontals, 115(1) absence of palatine teeth and 189(0) a shortened splenial (see character description above).
