Collection and habitat data.
This species was reported from
Ips
galleries in
Pinus
, and emerged indoors from an
Acer saccharinum
branch (
O'Brien
1997
). In New Brunswick,
Himatium errans
was captured in June, July, and August in Lindgren funnel traps in an old red pine forest, a red spruce (
Picea rubens
Sarg.) forest, and an old mixed forest.
