Remarks.
This species was the most abundant in the study grid at ESEC-Cuniã and was observed frequently in all the different habitat
types
, both in várzea forest and more open areas. Apparently, the species is not a habitat specialist.
Identification.
This species has a mean body length of
14 cm
. The superciliary and infra-ocular bands are ochre and delimited by a black line. The upper plumage is green-ochraceous, and the wings are black. The underparts are orangey-ochre. Central tail feathers are elongated and with white tips.
