Holotype ♂ ( Figs. 29–31 ) (CAUC), CHINA , Yunnan Province : Jinping, Fenshuiling Protection Station, 18. V. 2006 , Junhua Zhang. Paratypes : CHINA , Yunnan Province : 1 ♂ (CAUC), data same as holotype ; 1 ♂ (CAUC), Jinping, Yakou, 18. V. 2006 , Junhua Zhang; 1 ♀ (CAUC), Jinping, Fenshuiling protection station, 18. V. 2006 , Shan Huo. Distribution. China (Yunnan Province). Remarks. The new species is somewhat similar to Noeetomima chinensis sp. nov. from China in the following characters: arista white pubescent; scutellum with greyish yellow pruinosity on basal 1/4–1/3, dense yellow microscopic setulae on apical 1/2; a pair of small greyish white round spots near base of basal scutellar seta; hind femur with 2 strong anteroventral setae on apical 1/2; short white irregular lines in a brown central area except cell br; posterior margin undulating. However, N. yunnanica can be separated from the latter by the wing having 3 white spoon-like spots along the costal margin and 7 dot-like spots present along R1, the scutellum having a greyish white elliptical median spot on basal 1/3; the surstylus consisting of a long claviform anterior process with setulae and a furcated digitiform posterior apical process in lateral view. In N . chinensis , a row of white triangular spots are present along the costal margin; the scutellum has no greyish white median spot; the surstylus consists of a long furcated process with setulae and a short truncate process in lateral view. This new species is also somewhat similar to Noeetomima thaiensis from Thailand in the wing pattern, but it can be separated from the latter by the palpus being mostly yellow except brown or blackish brown at tip, sometimes entirely blackish brown on apical 2/3, and the hind femur having 2 anteroventral setae. In Noeetomima thaiensis , the palpus is entirely black and the hind femur has only 1 anteroventral seta (Sasakawa, 1987). Etymology. The specific epithet is named for the collecting locality Yunnan.
