Occurrence: Meidiama lutheri : Beach of Guarujà , near Santos , Brazil ; coarse shell gravel ( type locality). Material studied: Meidiama lutheri : two whole mounts, one indicated as lectotype ( SMNH 7348 ); two slides with dispersed sections of several individuals, and of very poor quality, containing very fragmentary information ( paralectotypes : SMNH 7349–7350 ) .
