Atretia brazieri Crane, 1886 by original designation ( Richardson 1987, p. 45 ). Emended diagnosis. Similar to Cryptopora but without dental plates, rectimarginate to gently uniplicate. Foramen large, with narrow marginal or auriculate disjunct deltidial plates. Crura non-digitate maniculiform. Hinge plates well developed to absent. Cardinal process as paired semicircular thickenings or in form of depression. Remarks. In the erect, auriculate deltidial plates and lack of hinge plates, the new species shows significant differences from the type species, requiring emendation of the diagnosis (cf. ManceƱido et al . 2002).
