Notes. – BOISSIER (1841b) recognized C. reticulatus Boiss. in this monospecific genus, but that combination is illegitimate because the basionym, Vesicaria reticulata Lam. (1808), was predated by Alyssum vesicaria L. (1753) that Boissier listed in the synonymy. The genus remained accepted for over 170 years until its recent union with the earlier published Noccaea Moench by AL-SHEHBAZ (2014).
