The tergites of this species, which is the type species of Scleropauropoides Remy, 1957, are somewhat granular and pleated but their setae are large, squamous, broad distally, and with large insertion areas. The pygidial sternum has the setae b 1+ b 2, but no b 3, and tergite V has 4 setae in the posterior row, not 6. Distribution. Known so far only from the Ivory Coast .
