Figs. 1–5 . Male. Forewings length 17.5–18.0 mm, hindwings length 15.0– 15.5 mm . General color yellow patterned with brown ( Figure 1A ). Head slightly wider than pronotum, with a pale brown stigma on anterior frons and a median brown area covering ocelli; compound eyes dark and antennae brown ( Figure 2A ). Pronotum yellow with wide brown median stripe and scattered rugosities ( Figure 2A ). Wing membrane subhyaline, veins brown. Legs pale brown to dark brown. Cerci pale. Abdomen. The posterior margin of tergum 7 with upraised and bilobed process, covered with dense sensilla basiconica. Tergum 8 with an upcurved tongue-shaped process bearing small spines at distal margin ( Figures 2B , 3 ). Tergum 9 without sensilla basiconica. Hemitergal processes of tergum 10 short, slightly curved medially, with sclerotized inner margins and bearing long hairs ( Figure 2B ). Aedeagal tube elongated and slightly curved; strongly sclerotized dorsally and lightly sclerotized ventrally except for the basal membraneous area; subapically with an upcurved, finger-like spinulose lobe. Aedeagal sac plump and gradually tapering to a blunt tip; with dense spinules on ventral surface and granules around sac apex ( Figure 4 ). Female. Forewings length 19.0– 19.5 mm , hindwings length 16.0– 16.5 mm . General color and pattern similar to males ( Figure 1B ). The posterior margin of tergum 8 forming a trapezoidal subgenital plate, reaching near posterior margin of tergum 9 ( Figure 5 ). FIGURE 1. Neoperla yingshana sp. nov. A. Neoperla yingshana sp. nov. Female terminalia, ventral view. Type material. Holotype : male, China : Hubei Province , Huanggang City , Yingshan County , Wujiashan National Forest Park , a torrential, several meters wide stream between large rocks, 1200 m , k 30°31′N , 115°30′E , 30 June , 2014, leg. Ji-Rui Wang ( ICYZU ) . Paratypes : 9 males and 3 females , same locality and data as holotype . Etymology. The new species is named after the type locality, Yingshan County . Remarks . The new species is a member of the N . montivaga group. Male terminalia and aedeagus of the new species are similar to those of N. forcipata Yang & Yang, 1992 , N. furcostyla Li & Qin, 2013 and N. jigongshana Li & Li, 2014 ( Yang & Yang 1992 , Li et al. 2013b, Li et al. 2014b ). However, the new species can be easily distinguished from N. forcipata and N. furcostyla by the ventral aedeagal lobe straight and not bifurcate (see Figures 2B, 2C in Li et al. 2013b). In N. jigongshana , the ventral aedeagal lobe is thinner and curved ventrally; the aedeagal sac is curved ventrally, whereas in the new species, the aedeagal sac is almost straight (see Figure 4 in Li et al. 2014b ).
