Distribution. Brazil , Peru . Remarks. Rare at the collection site. The two spots at the base of the pronotum, regarded by Giglio-Tos (1927) to be typical for the Guyanese H. ornata ( Stoll, 1813 ) , are not a valid diagnostic character, as they also occur in H. superba , but are prone to discoloration in alcohol.
