Subcapitular setae m filiform. Setae vi distinctly wider and longer than e2 . Bases of setae vi , si , and se with small antrorse projection. Setae e1 and f1 narrow lanceolate. Distances c1-d1 and d1-d2 subequal. Vulvar region densely punctated. Antero-median part of vulvar region distinctly sclerotized. Setae ps3 distinctly developed, slightly curved. Setae ag2 at least 2 times longer than ag1 . Setae 1b and 1d scale-like. Setae 2a and 3a whip-like, much longer than 2b . Trochanter I with distinct ventral projection and without tubercles. Measurements of holotype : body, including gnathosoma, 350 long ( 335–375 in 3 paratypes ), 180 maximum wide (175– 180). Lengths of setae: vi 60 (60–67), ve 69 (67–81), si 112 (100–125), se 63 (63–72)—all 9 wide; c1 and c2 51– 56, d1 56 (56–58), d2 58 (54–58)– all 6 wide; e1 40 (40–45), e2 40 (40–46), 2a and 3a 67–75, 4a 49 (42–51). MALE ( Figs. 56 ). Subcapitular setae m filiform. Genital cone with enlarged basal part (at level of setae d1 ) and strongly elongated and narrow distal part (anterior to level of setae d1 ). Bases of setae vi situated at level of setae ps2 . Setae e2 and f1 subequal and situated at same level. Posterior end of opisthosoma with tubercles. Setae 1b and 1d scale-like. Setae 2a and 3a whip-like, much longer than 2b . Trochanter I with weakly developed ventral projection and without tubercles. Measurements ( 3 paratypes ): body, including gnathosoma, 285–290 long, 155–160 maximum wide. Aedeagus 140–145 long. Lengths of setae: vi 10–11, ve 60–69, si 24–33, se 85–90, c2 87–108, e1 45 –54, e2 33 –37, f1 27–33, 2a and 3a 69–78, 4a 33–34. FEMALE TRITONYMPH ( Fig. 57 ). Setae f2 and h2 stick-like, other dorsal idiosomal setae narrow lanceolate. Setae 3a 22 long, 4a 11 long. Tarsus IV with 2 setae. Type host and locality. Phodopus roborovskii from Russia ( Tuva ) ( Bochkov & Mironov 1998 ) . Hosts and distribution. This species is associated with hamsters of the genus Phodopus . FIGURE 54.
