Diagnosis.
According to

Jezarotes
is distinguished from other genera of
Acaenitinae
by the
combination of the following character states: clypeus with a preapical ridge, hind tarsal claws simple, the median
lobe of mesoscutum strongly projecting forward (
Fig. 1
), and the upper tooth of mandible much smaller than lower
tooth (
Fig. 9
).

. Eastern Palearctic and Oriental regions.
Remarks
. Three Oriental species,
J. yanensis
Sheng & Sun, 2013
from South
China
,
J. apicalis
(Sonan, 1936)
from
Taiwan
and
J. mitai
sp. nov.
from
Laos
, are distinct from the Palearctic species in the hind femur without a blunt ventral tooth.
