MNHN 2002.0426 (male; SVL 50.0 mm, TaL> 47 mm , broken), Maninjau, Province of Sumatera Barat, elev. about 650 m . Taxonomic comments . The depressed snout, about 3.6 times as long as the diameter of the eye, the convex scale above the rostral and the 8 and 9 SL are typical of the species (see De Rooij, 1915 ). Distribution on Sumatra . Provinces of Sumatera Barat (first record in this work), Aceh, and Sumatera Utara; also the islands of Nias and Simeulue, and the Mentawai Archipelago ( De Rooij, 1915 ; this work). Biology . This specimen was collected in August, at midday on the ground of a primary forest on the rocky slopes bordering the eastern shore of Lake Maninjau. Another male with large, green lateral bars, photographed but not collected, was seen during a morning of November, in activity on low branches in a windfall of a primary forest.
