Diagnosis
.
Female.
Frons distinctly pilose; clypeus apico-medially incised without lateral incisions (
c.f

Figs 33 & 34
of
Hensen (1987: 229))
; pronotal collar and scutellum with yellow markings; mesoscutum and propodeum transversely striate; propodeum with large basal spots and sometimes with pair of spot at apex of dorsal enclosure; metasoma with reddish yellow band on all terga.
Male
. Darker than the female, yellow markings less developed: clypeus often with pair of small spots; basal propodeal spots and bands on terga usually reduced, sometimes nearly absent.

. As no specimens were seen during the present study, the above diagnosis has been based on the published descriptions of the species (F.
Smith
1856
; Tsuneki 1971;

).
