Late Eocene of Europe , Rovno amber: sex unknown; inclusion in elongate, irregular piece of amber 8.5 mm long ( Fig. 15 ), collection number K-26348 ( SIZK ). Description. Body ( Figs 126–129 ) elongate, slender and relatively strongly convex, brown; BL about 0.83 mm . Head ( Figs 128–129 ) only partly visible, broadest at eyes, HW 0.20 mm ; vertex transverse; anterior part of head poorly visible; compound eyes large, strongly convex, oval; tempora seem shorter than eyes. Punctures and setae on head not visible. Antennae poorly visible. Pronotum ( Fig. 128 ) slightly elongate, broadest near middle; PL 0.25 mm , PW 0.23 mm ; punctures on disc ( Fig. 128 ) small but distinct, separated by spaces 2–4 × as wide as diameters of punctures; setae ( Fig. 128 ) short and sparse, nearly recumbent, on sides of pronotum replaced by distinct thick bristles ( Fig. 129 ). Elytra ( Figs 126, 128 ) elongate oval, strongly convex, broadest slightly in front of middle, EL 0.58 mm , EW 0.35 mm , EI 1.64; punctures and setae similar to those on pronotum ( Fig. 128 ). Legs ( Figs 126–129 ) moderately long, slender, unmodified. Remarks. This inclusion is similar to specimen 1, but as it is only partly visible, a detailed comparison is not possible. Also in this specimen the ventral side of prothorax and pterothorax is well exposed, although details of the mesoventrite are not visible.
