Remarks
The vast majority of species of
Spinotarsus
occur in southern Africa; only two, viz,
S. serrulatus
Kraus, 1958
and
S. terrestris
(Attems, 1935)
, are from
the Democratic Republic of the
Congo
. Two species described from other parts of the Afrotropical region have subsequently been transferred to other genera:
