Diagnosis
: Similar to
R. frisii
but can be distinguished by having lower scale count (less than 50) and the posterior part of the swim bladder being rounded rather than pointed.

: Caspian Sea basin (

). Found in Sefidrud, Gorgan rud, Aras, Atrak
River
and Anzali Wetland.
