Phylogenetic position: Adamastoraltica has been placed in the Aphthonine–Chabrine clade as a sister-group to a clade containing Neocrepidodera , Clavicornaltica and the Chabria group. DamaŠka et al . (2020) found different phylogenetic relationships inside the Aphthonine–Chabrine clade, placing Adamastoraltica as a sister-group to a clade containing Mniophila , Pentamesa and Argopus Fischer, 1824 . Diversity and distribution: The only known species, as well as undescribed species from the material examined in this study, are known from the Western Cape Province in South Africa .
