The specific name was proposed for Hans Reichardt [1939-1976], Brazilian taxonomist with an interest in the South American carabid fauna. Reichardt tragically died in a car accident. Distribution. This species is known from a few localities from eastern Texas southwards along the Gulf and Caribbean Coasts to Honduras [see Ball and Nimmo 1983: Fig. 7]. Records . USA : TX - Honduras, Mexico
