See appendix 5 for a complete list of these molecular synapomorphies. A possible morphological synapomorphy of this group is the presence of elaborate tubercles and ornamentation around the cloacal region (Cruz and Peixoto, ‘‘1985’’ [1987]). CONTENTS: Seven species.
