Remarks The specimens of Cycloporus gabriellae captured in Cape Verde summarize the original description of C. gabriellae published by Marcus (1950) , but differ externally and in coloration from C. gabriellae of Cabo Frio, Brazil ( Bahia et al . 2014 ). This is the first record in the eastern region of the Atlantic Ocean for the species.
