Zaphanta infantilis Dyar, 1910. Diagnosis. Very small moths, among the smallest in body size within Mimallonidae , with forewing length ranging from 9-11 mm. Coloration also diagnostic: wing ground color yellow with purplish-pink antemedial regions. Ventrum of both fore- and hindwings with apparent antemedial as well as postmedial lines. Apomorphy. (1) Uncus and a subuncal sclerotization fused, heavily sclerotized apically forming a conical structure with tegumen (Fig. 2a).
