Distribution: India : Meghalaya (Shillong). Elsewhere : Myanmar and Thailand (Park & Ponomarenko 1999). Illustrations: Adult and genitalia ( Clarke 1969a: 418 ; Park & Ponomarenko 1999: 329). Remark: Chelaria obtruncata Meyrick was synonymized with H. arignota (Meyrick) by Park (1995), but Ponomarenko (1997) restored its status as H. obtruncata . However, the species was subsequently treated as a synonym of H. arignota without comment by Park & Ponomarenko (1999), and that status is followed here.
