Distribution . Previously only known from hydrothemal vents on the Lau Basin, North Fiji Basin and Nifonea vent site off Vanuatu , at depths of 1740–2750 m ( Zelnio & Hourdez 2009 ; Komai & Tsuchida 2015 ). Remarks. Alvinocaris komaii was observed and sampled in or at the immediate vicinity of a bush of the siboglinid tube worm Arcovestia ivanovi ( Fig. 6A ).
