Remarks.
Prochoreutis constellata
was described from a male
holotype
and a single female and compared with several other congeneric species (
Nel 2014b
). We obtained a full DNA barcode sequence of the
holotype
which is 6.3% divergent from the nearest neighbour in BOLD, the northern Palearctic
P. ultimana
(Kurlikovsky, 1909)
a species not considered in the original description.
