Remarks.
This species ranges north to Alaska, Yukon and the Northwest Territories, east to the Great Lakes and south to
Mexico
. In the northern regions,
A. conspersa
appears in spring as it passes the winter as late instar nymphs therefore the two-year life-cycle occurs in north while in the southern parts of its range, the species may have one generation per year. It occupies forest clearings and grassland, generally on sandy or gravelly soils (
Vickery & Kevan, 1983
).
