Remarks. This species was described by Schulze (1899) based in a single specimen collected in the northeastern Pacific in 1889 ( 33°04'18” N ; 117°42'00” W , 849 m depth, RV Albatross, station 2937). A second specimen was collected in the Ichthyandr Seamount, station 6 ( 22°11'24” S ; 81°24'36” W ) in the Nazca ridge, at a depth of 360–400 m ( Tabachnick, 1990 ). This species has not been registered again since its description.
