The genus currently includes 16 species, 14 of which were described from Brazil ( Bispo & Lecci 2011 ; Avelino- Capistrano & Nessimian 2013). A new species is described here. Previously, only nymphs were known from BA ( Silva & Hamada 2007 ). Recently, adults were collected in the Serra Bonita Reserve, T . tessellata and a new species described below. The genus occurs in northeastern Brazil , the mountainous areas of Central, southeastern and southern Brazil , northeastern Argentina (Misiones), Uruguay , and Paraguay ( Bispo & Lecci 2011 ).
