Diagnosis. The elytral disc is completely black, and the pronotum and elytral explanate margins are brown. Description. Body length 7.9–8.3 mm , width 5.5–8.4 mm . Antenna yellow to brown. Head, venter and legs yellow brown to dark brown. Pronotum widest in posterior half, with faint median groove; explanate margin curved upwards; anterior margin almost straight over head; posterior margin not projected at scutellum; anterior margin straightish over head. Prosternal collar well­defined, with slight medial depression; prosternal process smooth. Scutellum apparent externally, smooth and black. Elytra disc with large coarse adjoining punctation ( Fig. 6 ), explanate margin with sparse irregularly spaced smaller punctation. Metasternum 2.5–3 times wider than long, distorted and concave. Spermathecal duct short, with 2–6 coils. Type. Deposited in Museum of Comparative Zoology, Cat. No. 22369. Paratype in U.S. National Museum , Cat. No. 51847. Published locality: Mt. Thompson , C. Young , and R. Davidson . Variation. Brown body color shows minor variations from red brown to flat brown. Antennal color varies from yellow to brown. Remarks. Locality label indicate an elevated habitat.
