Diagnosis.
This species is similar to
L. duplex
(Dalla Torre)
from
Japan
. It is separated from
L. duplex
by the IS of mesoscutum generally smooth on medial to posterior area in both sexes (but this character shows considerable variation, not always useful to separate clearly between
L. calceatum
and
L. duplex
) and metasomal terga with enamel-like luster in both sexes. In contrast,
L. duplex
has IS of mesoscutum generally with distinct tessellation on medial to posterior area and metasomal terga with oily-dull luster in both sexes (
Sakagami & Munakata 1972
;
Murao & Tadauchi 2007
).
