( Figs. 11–12 ) Diagnosis Legs chiefly yellow; fore coxa yellow, mid and hind coxae blackish; hind femur entirely yellow, apically with long ventral hairs. Description MALE. Body length 4.9 mm , wing length 3.8 mm . Head metallic green, with pale gray pollen. Ocellar tubercle distinct. Eyes contiguous for a short distance (about 1/3 as long as frons) on frons, with upper ommatidia enlarged; face rather wide, parallel­sided. Hairs and bristles on head black; lower postocular bristles (including posterior ventral hairs) pale. Antenna dark brown; first flagellomere ( Fig. 11 ) dark yellow, subtriangular, 1.4 times wider than long); arista brownish yellow, with basal segment rather short. Proboscis brown with pale hairs; palpus black with 2 black bristles. Thorax metallic green, with grayish pollen. Scutellum metallic green. Hairs and bristles on thorax black; 5 strong dc, 6–7 irregularly paired acr. Propleuron with 2 black hairs and 1 brown bristle on lower part. Scutellum with 2 pairs of bristles, inner pair rather long and outer pair somewhat shorter (about 1/3 as long as inner pair). Legs chiefly yellow; fore coxa yellow, mid and hind coxae blackish, all tarsomeres 2–5 brownish to brown. Hairs and bristles on legs black; fore coxa with 6 anterior bristles, hind coxa with 1 outer bristle at basal 1/4. Fore femur with row of long av on basal 2/3, row of pv on entire length; hind femur apically with long ventral hairs (longer than femur width) and 3–4 short av. Fore tibia apically with 3 bristles; mid tibia with 1 long ad at base and 3 short pd near middle, and 3 av, apically with 4 long bristles; hind tibia with row of pd (of which 3 longer), 6–7 short av, apically with 4 long bristles. Fore tarsus without claw, but with enlarged pulvilli slightly longer than tarsomere 5; mid and hind tarsi each with 2 short claws. Mid tarsomeres 1–2 with row of erected v; hind tarsomere 1 nearly as long as tarsomere 2. Relative lengths of tibia and 5 tarsomeres LI 3.2: 2.1: 0.9: 0.7: 0.5: 0.3; LII 4.4: 2.5: 1.2: 0.9: 0.5: 0.3; LIII 5.5: 1.6: 1.7: 1.0: 0.6: 0.3. Wing hyaline, very weakly tinged with grayish; veins brown, R 4+5 and M parallel apically, M weakly bent at middle; CuAx ratio 0.6. Squama yellow with long black hairs. Halter yellow with brownish base. Abdomen metallic green with gray pollen; segments 1–3 yellow except posterior margin of tergum 2 and anterior and posterior margins of tergum 3 dark brown. Hairs and bristles on abdomen black; terga 1–6 with row of long bristles on posterior margin, and long bristles on lateral portion; sterna 1–5 each with long ventral bristles; sternum 8 with 4 strong bristles. Male genitalia ( Fig. 12 ). Epandrium about as long as wide, with long lateral lobe bearing 2 long apical bristles; its surstylus long and thick, with spine­like process at middle; inner lobe short, bifurcated apically, with long bristles; cercus with long ventral lobe, with long bristles; aedeagus thin and long. FEMALE. Unknown. Type material Holotype male, Yunnan : Ruili , 3. V. 1981 , Fasheng Li. Distribution Yunnan . Etymology The specific epithet derives from locality of the holotype Ruili ( Yunnan ). Comments The new species is similar to Diaphorus apiciniger Yang and Saigusa for having the abdominal dorsum partly yellow basally, but may be separated from the latter by the antenna dark yellow, and the hind femur entirely yellow. In D. apiciniger , the antenna is black, and the hind femur is chiefly yellow with the black apex ( Yang and Saigusa, 2001b ).
