Figs 8–11 , 16 Type material. Holotype : male ( RMNH ), Singapore [1°21'07.50ʺN, 103°49'11.41ʺE], 21 February 1983 , P.R. Deeleman leg. Paratypes : 8 males , 7 females , same data as holotype . Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin word “faba”, meaning “bean”, and refers to the beanshaped spermatheca; adjective. Diagnosis. This new species is similar to T. malaysiaensis sp. nov. , but can be distinguished by the curved, sickle-shaped embolus ( Figs 8 A–B, 9A–B) in the male, and the bean-shaped spermatheca ( Figs 8 C–D, 11A–B) in the female. Description. Male ( holotype ). Total length 1.22. Prosoma 0.48 long, 0.40 wide. Opisthosoma 0.69 long, 0.46 wide. Sternum 0.25 long, 0.27 wide. Prosoma yellow with a dark suffused area in the center. Legs, labium, and endites, yellowish. Six eyes. Chelicerae ( Fig. 10 C) longer than endites, yellowish, with two teeth and three denticles on the promargin, and four small teeth on the retromargin. Palp and leg measurements: palp 0.56 (0.16, 0.05, 0.10, –, 0.25); I 2.72 (0.79, 0.14, 0.82, 0.54, 0.43); II 2.17 (0.62, 0.14, 0.56, 0.47, 0.38); III 1.79 (0.52, 0.14, 0.46, 0.38, 0.29); IV 2.34 (0.66, 0.14, 0.67, 0.47, 0.40). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. Male palp ( Figs 8 A–B, 9A–B): bulb yellowish, globular; embolus curved, sickle-shaped and approximately 0.5 the length of bulb. Opisthosoma oval, yellowish, covered with long setae. Female (one of the paratypes ). Similar to male in coloration and general features, but with a smaller body size and shorter legs. Total length 1.08. Prosoma 0.44 long, 0.32 wide. Opisthosoma 0.60 long, 0.50 wide. Sternum 0.20 long, 0.23 wide. Palp and leg measurements: palp 0.41 (0.13, 0.05, 0.08, –, 0.15); I 2.52 (0.67, 0.14, 0.72, 0.47, 0.52); II 2.32 (0.66, 0.14, 0.65, 0.47, 0.40); III 2.16 (0.62, 0.14, 0.56, 0.44, 0.40); IV 2.49 (0.68, 0.15, 0.68, 0.48, 0.50). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. Genital area ( Fig. 10 F) with a row of setae on epigynal plate. Spermatheca ( Figs 8 C–D, 11A–B), bean-shaped. Variation. Total length: males: 1.22–1.27 (n = 9); females: 1.08–1.11 (n = 7). Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 16 ).
