Figs 1–16 , Table 1 Type materials . Holotype : female on slide, CHINA : Sichuan: Jiuzhaigou National Park: Huo Hua Hai, alt. 2200 m , 16.vii.2008 , collected by X. Sun and T.L. Wang (sample number C9593), deposited in NJU . Paratypes : 2 females on slide and 3 specimens in alcohol, same data as holotype . 1 female paraptye deposited in TZU, holotype and other paratypes in NJU . FIGURES 1–9 . Sinella sunae n. sp. : Ant. III organ; 2 , labrum; 3 , lateral process of labial palp; 4 , maxillary outer lobe; 5 , setae on ventral side of the head; 6 , dorsal cephalic chaetotaxy; 7 , thoracic chaetotaxy; 8 , trochanteral organ; 9 , hind claw. Description . Body length up to 1.3 mm , white. Antenna 1.7 times as long as cephalic diagonal. Antennal segments ratio as I:II:III:IV = 1:1.7–2.4:1.4–2.2:2.7–4.0. Smooth spiny mic at base of antennae 3 dorsal, 2 ventral on Ant. I, 1 internal, 1 external and 1 ventral on Ant. II. Long smooth straight setae absent on antennae. Distal Ant. II with 1 dorsal rod-like seta. Ant. III organ normal; seta 5 shortest; seta 8 thicker than others ( Fig. 1 ). Eyes 1+1. Labral papillae absent. Prelabral and labral setae 4/554, all smooth; labial intrusion U-shaped ( Fig. 2 ). Lateral process of labial palp thicker than normal setae, with tip reaching and beyond apex of labial papilla ( Fig. 3 ). Subapical seta of maxillary outer lobe subequal to apical one; 3 smooth sublobal hairs on maxillary outer lobe ( Fig. 4 ). Labial setae as MREL1L2, all smooth; seta R 0.5–0.7 length of seta M; setae X and X4 as smooth mic; setae X2 and X3 absent ( Fig. 5 ). Dorsal cephalic chaetotaxy with 4 antennal (An), 5 sutural (S) mac and 3 (4) mac in Gr. II ( Fig. 6 ). FIGURES 10–16 . Sinella sunae n. sp. : 10–12 , abdominal chaetotaxy: 10 , Abd. I–III; 11 , Abd. IV; 12 , Abd. V; 13–14 , ventral tube: 13 , anterior face; 14 , posterior face and lateral flap; 15 , manubrial plaque; 16 , mucro. Th. II with 3 (m1, m2, m 2i ) medio-medial, 3 medio-lateral (m4, m 4i , m4p), 17–20 posterior mac and 3 s-chaetae (ms internal to s); p4 and p 4i as mac. Th. III with about 20 mac and 2 lateral s-chaetae; p5 and m 5i as mic ( Fig. 7 ). Trochanteral organ with 7–11 smooth spiny setae; 5–8 in arms and 2–3 between them ( Fig. 8 ). Partial inner differentiated tibiotarsal setae “smooth” with ciliations not closely appressed to axis; inner outstanding mac located at about 0.33 distance from base, ciliate and tapered at tip. Unguis with 3 inner teeth; basal paired teeth unequal, outer one large. Unguiculus acuminate with a large tooth on outer edge. All tenent hair clavate ( Fig. 9 ), subequal to unguiculus in length. Abd. IV 2.2–3.2 times as Abd. III in length along dorsal midline. Abd. I with 5 (m2–4, m 2i , m4p) mac and 2 schaetae (1 ms and 1 s). Abd. II with 3 (m3, m3e, m3ep) central, 1 (m5) lateral mac and 2 s-chaetae. Abd. III with 1 (m3) central, 3 (am6, pm6, p6) lateral mac and 3 s-chaetae (1 ms and 2 s) ( Fig. 10 ). Abd. IV with 5 central (homology of anterior two mac unclear), 4 lateral mac (F1, E2–4); s-chaetae unclear ( Fig. 11 ). Abd. V with 3 s-chaetae ( Fig. 12 ). Tenaculum with 4+4 teeth and one large striate basal seta. Ventral tube anteriorly with 5+5 ciliate setae ( Fig. 13 ); posteriorly with 6–9 setae; the basal two weakly ciliate; each lateral flap with 5–7 smooth setae ( Fig. 14 ). Manubrium without smooth setae. Manubrial plaque with 2 (1) pseudopores and 2 ciliate setae ( Fig. 15 ). Distal smooth part of dens 1.8–2.3 times length of mucro. Mucro bidentate with basal spine long with tip nearly reaching apex of apical tooth ( Fig. 16 ). Ecology . Found in forest litter. Etymology . Named after Miss X. Sun, who collected the specimens. Remarks . This new species is most similar to S. affluens Chen & Christiansen, 1993 in colour pattern, 1+1 eyes, claw, “smooth” inner differentiated tibiotarsal setae, mucro, setae on ventral side of the head, dorsal cephalic chaetotaxy, chaetotaxy of Th. III, Abd. II, III and lateral Abd. IV; however, it differs from latter in smooth seta 7 on Ant. III, 2 ciliate setae on manubrial plaque, absence of mac a3 on Abd. I, and 5+5 mac on central Abd. IV. Detailed differences are listed in Table 1 .
