(2009) . The latter key, which does not take into account that provided by Velten & Pinto (1990) , is based on characters that are very difficult to evaluate, such as basal infuscation of the fore wing, arrangement of setae on the fore wing, and lengths of the mesophragma and ovipositor. The following key, except for S. asiatica , which remains a questionable species near S. mongibelli , is based on examination of the original material. 1 Scutellum with anterior pair of setae at least two-thirds length of posterior setae ( Fig. 2 ); female funicle with one placoid sen- sillum ( Fig. 1 )........................................................................................2 - Scutellum with anterior pair of setae not longer than half length of posterior setae ( Fig. 7 ); female funicle without placoid sen- sillum...............................................................................................3 2 Female funicle subcylindrical; first club segment with two placoid sensilla ( Fig. 8 ); male F2 subtrapezoidal, widest at basal third and tapering to apex ( Fig. 9 )................................................ S. occidentalis Velten and Pinto - Female funicle subglobular or cup-shaped; first club segment with one placoid sensillum ( Fig. 1 ); male F2 1.2× wider than long, not tapering from basal third to apex ( Fig. 5 ).............................................. S. italica Viggiani 3 Club 2× as long as wide.............................................................. .. S. asiatica Lou et Yuan - Club 2.5× as long as wide.............................................................. S. mongibelli Nowicki
