Material examined. SAMC-A28217; SAMC-A28230. Identification. Test round, moderately thick, tubercles perforated. Apical disc dark green, star-shaped, tuberculated inner and outer edges; periproct conspicuously raised. Primary spines white-banded with pinkish tints; scrobicular spines loosely packed, whitish with a pinkish longitudinal stripe, stripe greenish towards base. Denuded test white with greenish tubercles and apical disc. Global maximum size. Maximum test diameter 13 mm . Global distribution. Indian Ocean at 120–125 m depth ( Mortensen 1932b ; Schultz 2011 ), extending into East coast of South Africa ( Filander & Griffiths 2014 ).
