The bionomics of members of the Hypulini has been little investigated; museum label data, however, suggest that they are xylophagous. One specimen was reared from Picea glauca in Montana while another was collected in an Abies balsamea forest in Newfoundland (D. Pollock, unpublished data). In Maine found on A. balsamea ( Dearborn & Donahue 1993 ) . In Nova Scotia , collected in a Picea rubens dominated forest.
