HOLOTYPE : AMNH 600565 , adult male, collected near Cobbora , 32.04S , 149.15E ( USBGN , 1957b), New South Wales , Australia , on 16 May 1914 , by Thomas P. Austin. From the Mathews Collection via the Rothschild Collection. COMMENTS : Mathews (1922a: 432) named cobborensis , and on p. 412 described the adult male and listed as the type the specimen illustrated in that work on plate 447, middle bottom figure. In addition to Austin’s label marked ‘‘Type’’ and a Rothschild Collection label marked ‘‘Ex. coll. G.M. Mathews’’, the specimen bears a Rothschild type label with the name written by E. Mayr, and a yellow ‘‘Figured’’ label, indicating that the specimen was illustrated in Mathews (1922a : pl. 447, middle bottom fig., opp. p. 409, text pp. 412, 432). Mathews did not catalog this specimen. Two paratypes collected by Austin at Cobbora are: AMNH 600566, male, 24 June 1914 , and AMNH 600567, female, 30 December 1914 .
