Species diversity of Strigamia Gray, 1843 (Chilopoda: Linotaeniidae): a preliminary synthesis Author Bonato, Lucio Author Dányi, László Author Socci, Antonio Augusto Author Minelli, Alessandro text Zootaxa 2012 3593 1 39 journal article 10.5281/zenodo.214898 cd374ebf-49cd-4e50-b6d2-e6b592fdb07a 1175-5326 214898 Strigamia sibirica ( Seliwanoff, 1881 ) * References for morphology: Seliwanoff 1881 , 1884 . Taxonomic notes. Described originally as a species of Scolioplanes , it was cited also under Linotaenia . No other specimens were recorded, but the validity of the species was never questioned. It is assigned here to Strigamia for the first time ( new combination ), because it shares all major diagnostic features of Strigamia (see above under “Notes on synonymies”). However, its distinctness is uncertain especially with respect to S. pusilla , because the original description is compatible with the latter as is the provenance of the type material. Distribution: known from a single locality in internal Siberia.
