Red List. Virtually nothing is known about this species. This species is known only from the highlands of
Sumatra
and
Java
. On
Java
it occurs as far east as the Ijang plateau. On
Sumatra
, it is known from
Bengkulu Province
(Mount Dempo) and recently was recorded north to Kerinci. The Indonesian Mountain Weasel is a high priority for field studies to learn more about its natural history, ecology, and conservation status.
