Recently, Watts and Humphreys (1999) tentatively associated two larval forms with the bidessine subterranean species Tjirtudessus eberhardi and Niridessus pulpa respectively. The recent discovery of larvae of Glareadessus stocki is interesting as it provides an opportunity to formally describe for the first time the larva of a stygobiontic Bidessini . In this article, we describe the mature larva of G. stocki with an emphasis on chaetotaxy and porotaxy and compare the ground plan pattern of larval features of Glareadessus with those of other bidessine genera for which the larvae have been described.
