Mesoscutum very long, about 3 × as long as broad (15:5), dull, granulate. Mesoscutellum shiny, smooth, circular. Stalk between pronotum and metanotum (

) composed of mesoscutum + mesoscutellum (in almost all other
Gonatopus
species, stalk only composed of mesoscutum), about 4 × as long as broad (20:5). Metanotum very long, transversely striate, not excavated behind mesoscutellum. Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, with four median longitudinal keels, and, in some specimens, with track of median longitudinal furrow; propodeal declivity transversely striate. Mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsomere 1 slightly longer than 4 (17:16). Protarsomeres of specimen from
