Remarks
:
This is a rare species previously known from only ten specimens, from the north-west Pacific, the tropical Indian Ocean and the south Atlantic and Indian Ocean, off
South Africa
, including the Antarctic Zone of the Southeast Atlantic and Eastern Indian Ocean Sectors (
Zeidler & De Broyer 2009
). It seems to be a deep-water species (>
500 m
). Another six specimens are recorded here from the Antarctic Zone of the Southwest Atlantic and Pacific Sectors, representing new records for those regions.
