Pujoliclerus gilvus is distinguishable from superficially similar specimens of P. oxinus by the mostly yellow pronotal surface. Description. Size : Length 5.0 mm; width 1.4 mm . Form : As in Fig. 102 . Integument : Head mostly black, yellow on lower frons and behind eyes; antenna mostly black, antennomeres 8-10 progressively more yellow; pronotal disc broadly yellow at sides, black on remainder; elytra predominantly brown, epipleural and sutural margins and elytral apex yellow; legs mostly yellow, slightly infuscated; pterothorax and abdomen brown. Head : Eyes wider than frons (10:13); funicular antennomeres considerably expanded ( Fig. 30 ). Thorax : Pronotum quadrate (36:36), lateral tubercle very prominent ( Fig. 59 ); epipleural fold gradually diminishing to elytral apex; asetiferous punctures prominent to elytral apex. Abdomen : Tegminal lobes and phallic apex as in Fig. 83 . Natural History. The type was collected during November on P. barbourianum . Distribution. Known only from the type locality in Panama ( Fig. 124 ). Etymology. The trivial name gilvus (= pale yellow) is a Latin adjective that refers to the apex of the last antennomere.
